“I’m pretty sure that is our chocolate fountain.”

Have you ever been to Comic Con in San Diego? I have and let me tell you it is a wild experience.

There are 150,000 comic lovin’ people in downtown San Diego that are celebrating an art form that until lately was not considered cool.

It’s an absolutely amazing experience.

When I was at Graphicly, we decided to throw a party at ComicCon. We found a roof on a hotel, invited people, and then hoped they all showed up. And boy, did they!

Hundreds of people came in and out. My friend Cyan showed up, had a good time, and interviewed Michael Uslan and me for TechCrunch, which was fun.

About half way through the party I looked over to the space next to us and who was there but all the Jackass boys drinking and having fun.

We had gotten finger foods and a chocolate fountain for the party. (After all is it really a party without a chocolate fountain?) And as the party continued, I saw first one, then two, then all of the Jackass crew sneak in our party and eat off the chocolate fountain.

I was hoping for hijinks but other than the straight thievery of our melted chocolate out of our fountain, they were on their best behavior.

The rest of Comic Con was a blast. Got to meet some of my favorite creators, went to almost every booth, and manned ours which overflowed with people. I think we gave away about 300 shirts.

There are things about running a company that are hard. Lots of things. But sometimes, you get to share a chocolate fountain with some Jackasses and it’s pretty fun.
